The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Anna University Regional Campus, Tirunelveli, has been established with in the year 2008 with the intention to provide high quality education. The programme has been designed to provide knowledge to prepare students for careers in research and also an advanced preparation for professional training that will make them outstanding engineers. The department has well equipped laboratories equipped with complete hardware and software requirements. It has high qualified and passionate faculties who are actively engaged in applied research and technology transfer, in the fields of Signal and Image Processing, Optical Communication, Electronics and Optics, Embedded vision. The strength and success of this Department lies in its integrated approach to teaching and research and mainly due to the expertiseand dedication of its faculty members.The Department aims to address the major challenges and develop complete solutions to benefit the society through collaboration with industries and other institution’s. Apart from systematic academic work, the department is actively involvedin consultancy, research and other professional activities. The department conducts need-based workshops and seminars in the emerging areas like Signal Processing, Artificial Neural Networks & Fuzzy Logic, Optical Fibre Communication and Image Processing etc. to impart the knowledge and skill of faculty and students of Engineering Colleges.
